Solar energy is an extremely valuable resource, and photovoltaics represent one of the most effective solutions for tackling the climate emergency.
SIPI S.p.A. has installed a photovoltaic panel system with the aim of reducing its environmental impact and improving its energy efficiency.
Integrated Management System
SIPI S.p.A. adopts an Integrated Management System compliant with UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 (Quality) and UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 (Environment) standards, with the aim of ensuring customer satisfaction and minimizing the environmental impact of its activities.
The Integrated Policy is based on the principles of:

- UNI EN ISO 9001 – Quality Management: guarantees control of production processes and customer satisfaction.
- UNI EN ISO 14001 – Environmental Management: certifies SIPI’s ongoing commitment to reducing emissions, waste, and energy consumption.
Carbon Footprint & Renewable Energy
As part of its sustainability program, SIPI has also decided to monitor its emissions and has obtained UNI EN ISO 14064-1 Carbon Footprint Certification in an effort to significantly reduce its CO2 emissions, including through the installation of solar panels to promote the use of renewable energy.
Annual Environmental Statement
Every year, SIPI publishes its environmental statement, which presents the results of its emissions monitoring and environmental performance.
In 2023, SIPI produced 0.59 tons of CO2 equivalent per ton of steel processed, a decrease compared to the previous year, confirming the effectiveness of the improvement measures undertaken.

Carbon Footprint Certification
SIPI S.p.A. has obtained the Carbon Footprint certification UNI EN ISO 14064-1, certification on the quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions.
Environmental Management System
The UNI EN ISO 14001 certificate (No. IT24-13007B) certifies the compliance of the
SIPI S.p.A. Environmental Management System.

We obtained this certification as a testament to our commitment to excellence, our attention to the quality of our products and customer satisfaction.
